The wife and I have talked about relocating to the bay one day but I couldnt really find many lakes that supported power boats. The Ri265 is grounded in greatness with the uncanny ability to harness the "go big" attitude in all who board. Good dealers make a big difference in the boating experience. Through our dealer my wife, son and I were invited to do a photo shoot with Randall Haris and Alliance - a month later, my 3 year old still talks about "Randall the Vandal". They have taken my calls and walked me through a couple things while I was in havasu (on their day off). They got my boat in and out of service within a couple days. Pre-sales they were extremely responsive to any questions, post sale they (and the MFR) have been just as responsive. Centurion lost my business because of the dealer.Ī couple weeks later I visited one of the only other dealers left in our area and the service was night and day difference. I gave them my information to follow up on some bindings and pricing for a couple boats. I felt like because I was not interested in a Nautique they did not want my business. When I was looking at new boats last year I went to the dealership to browse avy's and enzo - my intent was to upgrade my elite v with another centurion. It was a Nautique/centurion but they lost Nautique. I have a centurion dealer that is very close to me in California. I love my Centurion, and want to see the company thrive!! If you can’t see the boat, and there is no one to service it, what do you do? It really makes me grateful that by sheer luck I have a great dealer so near me that can service my boat, handle warranty work, and take care of me….only wish he had Centurions on his lot.Īm I missing something here? Am I overreacting? Are any of you surprised or disappointed by the dealer network? Is this just a California thing? I would be very interested to hear your thoughts. Having said that, if I were new to boating, and was looking for a tow boat, I am not sure if I would buy a Centurion today. I absolutely love my Centurion and boast about it every chance I get. I have read on this site a few concerns others have had regarding the Centurion dealer network. They are currently installing my winter mods. They are truly outstanding and we have developed a great relationship. They deal in Supreme’s as their tow boat, but they do all my service and warranty work. I am really lucky that I have a fantastic marine shop/dealer at our lake. Now I may have missed something, but you get the point. I came up with two dealers (not including Centurion West in Merced) in the state of California after punching in zip codes from San Diego to Redding. I pulled out a zip code list and started punching zip codes into the Centurion locate a dealer tool. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area…pretty big market I think, and the closest dealer to me is over two hours away, and it looks like they have maybe two new Centurions on the lot. I went on line last night to locate a dealer and could not believe that there are no Centurion dealers anywhere near me anymore. I have a mellow weekend and decided that I would go look at some new Centurions today just to see what the new boats really look like and take care of my boat fix. All I can think about is my boat and getting on the water. I am pretty excited, boat is out of storage, winter mods are underway, and we should have the boat in the water in two or three weeks.
